Unfortunately, this was not a great experience. The vehicle was not clean upon pickup, which was disappointing. When we brought it up, the host did not take responsibility and instead blamed the cleaning crew, offering reimbursement for us to have it cleaned ourselves, which isn’t something renters should have to deal with.
Additionally, we made an honest mistake and forgot to fully refuel the vehicle before returning it. We communicated this right away and were completely willing to cover the cost. However, the host did not refuel the car for over 24 hours and then charged for more fuel than what should have been needed based on the level we left it at.
Overall, the lack of accountability and questionable handling of the refueling charge made this a frustrating experience. I would recommend confirming cleanliness and documenting fuel levels carefully if you choose to book.
