The absolute worst. The host and the vehicle cost me a whole trip. Messed my weekend up. When I picked up the car, and drive it off the lot the first thing I heard was the brakes. The right rear brake was done. I called the host, and told him whats was up, but he insisted to tell me he drive it and there was no issue. He told me if “I didn’t feel comfortable driving it, I could bring it back”. I took it back to him and he drove it with my brother in the car and realized I was right. He then offered to fix it and it would only take an hour. I agreed since I didn’t want to go through the troubles of canceling and getting another car, at the moment I didn’t want to ruin my trip. (Well so I thought).
I went to get the car after it was fixed 3 hours later. He said he was going to throw in some gas money for my troubles, so he put $40.00 in the console. Ok that was great. I thought the car finally got fixed, I’m good for my trip to Baltimore in the AM.
My brother suggested we took the vehicle on the highway so we know it’s able to take us on a three (3) hour drive. Oh boy!! This car started shaking out of control once we put the speedometer to 50 or 60. The front end was no good!! It was scary.
I had to cancel my trip and have roadside assistance take the car back to the host.
Didn’t even get to go on my trip.
For what it’s worth. Check your car thoroughly before renting it out!!
