Vehicle was booked in the AM, approved and was told it was ready by 12:30.
Vehicle was parked and was charged $30 to take the vehicle out of parking. Host sent me $4 and said they don’t control the airport charges. Unbelievable.
Then we noticed the car smelled of marijuana. We messaged the host and they acknowledged it had a smell but they couldn’t get it out because our reservations was last minute. Never did they disclose this even though they knew that the previous renter violated the no smoking rule. They even tried to make us the reason saying we booked last minute and was lucky we got the reservation.
This is absolutely false. You used the vehicle for the entire day, drove about 50 miles, returned it full of sand from the beach, and only then claimed there was an issue with the vehicle. This appears to have been an attempt to obtain a refund for a fabricated complaint.
Also, Turo only reimburses the first hour of parking. If you arrived several hours late to pick up the vehicle, we should not be responsible for those additional parking charges. Our reviews reflect the quality of our service.
