Unfortunately, this was not a positive rental experience. The car was delivered late, unwashed, insufficiently charged, and with a low tire that required repair. I spent an hour at a tire shop and paid $40 out of pocket, which has still not been reimbursed.
More concerning, the car was infested with ants, including ants coming through the vents. When I reported it, the host initially suggested I was lying and looking for an excuse to cancel. I submitted photos and videos as proof. He said the ants would disappear the next day, but they remained inside the car throughout the weekend. Despite these conditions, I kept and completed the rental from beginning to end.
The host was personally pleasant, but the vehicle was not properly prepared, the communication was unclear, and the accusations were inappropriate. I hope this was an isolated experience and that this feedback helps improve future rentals.
