DO NOT RENT FROM THIS HOST. From the moment I picked up the car, multiple safety and technology features were malfunctioning - lane assistance, blind-spot monitoring, steering-wheel controls, Apple CarPlay/navigation repeatedly stopped working, unable to adjust the steering wheel for my height, constant dash safety notifications like seat belt/ultrasonic sensor issues and part of the climate control inoperable.
I immediately contacted the host. They acknowledged my concerns and stated that the car had just come back from the dealership after a battery replacement. They were responsive at first and whiling to work with me and I specifically asked them to cancel the active rental so Turo would allow me to book another car.
For two days, they read my messages and completely ignored me. No cancellation, no refund, and no meaningful attempt to resolve the situation.
I was left stuck with a vehicle I considered unsafe to drive in an unfamiliar area with my entire family in the car. Driving on the Miami expressway, with multiple days of severe rain while your navigation constantly disconnects every time you touch the volume of the radio and multiple safety features aren’t functioning is not a minor inconvenience - it is dangerous.
The host knew about the issues, acknowledged them, and still failed to follow through. I would never rent from this host again and strongly recommend others think twice before doing so.
