Have used Turo for many years and love the service, but this owner/vehicle was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Vehicle had a low tire when we picked it up had to put air in the tire multiple times. We were understanding that tire problems happen and can be out of the owners control, but it was low when we picked it up. Then we got pulled over for expired plates. We were pulled over 3 times during our 5 day trip and the owner did bother to render the issue.
The vehicle’s registration was valid for the trip. Claims of being pulled over multiple times or detained for extended periods were never substantiated.
The requested $1,600 compensation related to a missed tournament due to alleged traffic stops, which is unrelated to the vehicle and ultimately a matter of personal travel timing. The vehicle remained usable, and assistance was provided promptly.
