So, let’s start with the good stuff- the car is in great condition, it’s super fun to drive, the host is very responsive, and it’s a great price for a Tesla.
That said, there were two major issues. First, the key doesn’t work, so you have to use the Tesla app. This works pretty well until you need to park in a garage (with spotty cell service) or valet your car (so basically parking is cities was problematic).
Also, the car didn’t come with a wall charging adaptor, so I couldn’t charge the car at home. This meant I always had to charge it while I was out. Often when I found a charger, it was in a parking garage, which again, was problematic given the key issue.
I rented the car for a month, so over time these became pretty frustrating issues.

Overall positive trip, minor mechanical issues with the 2017 model X. Host was helpful in trying to resolve these. Also minor issues with LAX budget lot, difficult to navigate in evening due to poor lighting and shuttles run infrequently.
