Great host, car was clean. We would use him again.

Unfortunately this trip did not go very well. We rented the vehicle for nearly 9 months while we were in Kauai, and throughout that time we encountered numerous issues with the vehicle, but we could not get the host to fix them for us. The check engine and other warning lights were constantly coming on, making us feel uneasy about the reliability of the car. One of the tires did not hold air well so we had to go fill it up at a gas station often. The safety inspection vehicle tag expired early on in our trip, and we could not get them to get us updated tags, which is required by law in Hawaii to operate a vehicle on public roads. This caused us to not be able to use the vehicle for certain obligations we had with our kids school. I extended our rental mid trip because the host said they would resolve these issues, however once we extended the rental they never followed through to get us anything.
