The car did not include necessary documentation required by law in physical form. It did not have registration (required in paper form) included nor did it have proof of insurance (can be provided electronically). I was then told that I could stil drive and everything would be fine and the documents would all se sent electronically in an hour even though the trip had already started. I was also told that I could feel free to print them myself, even though not having these documents are on violation of Turo's misrepresentation policy. I was told that if I felt uncomfortable driving, I could end my trip early, leaving me stranded without a vehicle.
The guest’s claim about missing documentation is inaccurate. We contacted Turo to report and verify the situation, as we had clear proof that the documents were in the vehicle at the time of pickup. We made multiple attempts to assist the guest in locating the documents, but she stated she felt unsafe driving and declined our help. We let her know that if she was uncomfortable continuing the trip, she was welcome to return the vehicle — this was entirely her choice, and she chose to do so.
