Hey, we rented your car. We haven’t had any issues but tonight when we got back to the car from hiking the key fob wouldn’t work. We assumed the battery was dead but we literally had to call AAA to come and get the door open and try to make the key fob work. It took awhile but they did get the car started by some miracle but now we can’t really turn the car off because it already tells us “key fob not detected” periodically. By the time we got back to a town everywhere was closed to buy a new battery for the fob so we’re kind of screwed. We’ve tried everywhere around us. Nowhere is open until after we need to leave for the airport and still we wouldn’t be able to get in the car once we turn it off unless we just didn’t lock the doors but that’s questionable. We need a solution please.
I gave the renter a refund for that day, truly apologized for what happened, I had no idea that this would happen due to recent clients renting my vehicle, let's be real, none of us knows the battery is dead until it shows that it's dead, they were able to drive the vehicle back to the drop off location and I picked it up with no issues. Also addressing the oil and washer fluid issue, I just got an oil change and the company didn't reset the vehicle at the time and I let her know that.
