The car itself was great — new, clean, and comfortable.
The host was friendly, but the pickup/check-in process was not smooth. He still had to complete setup through the Turo app while I was picking up the car, including asking for my number and ID photo, which I thought was already handled through Turo. It also took extra time waiting for him to finish photos/check-in on his end.
The main issue was that he mentioned last minute that the car should only be driven locally around Las Vegas, but I did not see that listed in the vehicle details… Since it was Memorial Day weekend, I had planned to visit my mom in California, so that changed the experience for me since I have to plan another week to visit her… Turo already tracks mileage and extra miles to charge the consumer if it exceeds 400 mileage. I wasn’t going to argue on that, so the last-minute restriction felt very frustrating to me so I stayed quiet.
Overall, the vehicle quality was excellent, but I wish the host had been more prepared and had clearly listed any driving restrictions upfront to account for my errands and plans throughout my week.
