The Audi has 175000 miles and is in terrible mechanical condition. Multiple check engine lights and alerts
Sputters on acceleration. Horn doesn't work and a number of steering wheel controls don't either. Had no choice to extend because of time and geography. If there was ANY OTHER OPTION I would have taken it. Host said don't worry about the check engine light my mechanic said it could just be a spark plug. Communication was timely but very curt. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone use this vehicle until it has documented repairs. By far my worst experience in 5 years with Turo
Hi Edward, you drove the vehicle for several days without any issues before the check engine light appeared. As soon as it came on, I asked if the vehicle was misfiring or having any drivability issues, and you stated it was not. I offered the option to return the vehicle, but you chose to continue driving it and even extended the trip twice afterward. Unfortunately, mechanical issues can happen unexpectedly. The decision to continue driving and extend the trip twice was entirely yours.
