This is the second time I’ve rented with them and this specific car. Never again will I rent from them.
Day one of a 10 day trip and the car is telling me the key fob battery needs replaced. I message them and they say it’ll be fine for the length of your trip. It’s not fine….cant unlock the door days later, after several tries I get the door unlocked and it won’t start. After a mile walk to a grocery store, I buy a battery for the $650 car I rent. I mention this, and I believe they gave me drop off instructions as the response. I was irritated at this point but wasn’t going to complain further.
A few days later, we fill the car up on the way to the airport (probably 20 miles or so from the airport) and drop it off. I get an expense for $40 something for fuel and service fee for it not being completely full. Absolutely ridiculous. It was so close to full when I dropped off and obviously there isn’t a gas station at the airport. Infuriating.
Another thing worth mentioning, the car seat we rented through them was an extra $50 and as soon as I looked in the back seat my immediate thought was, “of wow…this is pretty cheap but I guess it’ll be okay for the trip” then I found the straps to be either knotted inside to the point that you couldn’t tighten it, or just in such poor condition, they didn’t tighten well.
I messaged stinel after seeing the extra $40 charge and he read it and did not respond. Extremely disappointed. Never again.
