Overall, the vehicle worked well for our trip, and the host was responsive, friendly, and quick to answer questions. We did have an “Emission System Problem” warning come on during our trip, but we notified the host immediately. We filled up with top-tier gasoline, and the warning eventually went away.
The biggest surprise for us was the pickup and return process. Pickup required taking a shuttle to the airport economy parking lot, paying the parking fee to exit, and finding the vehicle ourselves. Also, be aware that you’re responsible for any tolls used during your trip, even though the vehicle has a toll pass.
If you’re okay with those things and pay close attention to the mileage limit included with the rental, the host is easy to work with and communicates well.
