Overall, the rental process was smooth and communication with the host was clear and responsive. The pickup and return were straightforward, which I appreciated.
The app was a bit of an issue when I tried “END TRIP” process.
After the trip, the host mentioned through our Turo chat that there had been a known mechanical issue with the vehicle. During the rental, I did notice that the car wasn’t running as well as expected, which affected the overall driving experience.
The host was professional in communication, and I appreciate the transparency after the fact. That said, it would be better if any known issues were addressed prior to renting, as it would make for a more reliable and comfortable experience.
I wish you let me know, during our trip I would have rectified anything that needed to be addressed. And Also to let you know I had it to the Mechanic prior to your trip to make sure everything was safe and ready to go, I only found out there was a little bit of brake noise just prior to your trip, however I did replace the brakes directly after your trip not Unfortunately, those brakes only lasted me 1 year/15k because of renters riding the Breaks.
All is fixed now new brakes!!!

pickup middle of nowhere, car was extremely expensive for what it was worth. cheap seat covers and old infotainment system.
Sorry that you didn’t feel value with your first experience renting with Turo. They are the only car company rents to people under 25 years old, and I believe you do pay a premium for that. The host does not receive that premium.
The Vehicle was located in the heart of Kihei one of the largest towns on the island of Maui. We also offer Airport pick up and drop off if you make that selection in your reservation.
