Overall, this was a very good trip and we were ultimately pleased with the experience. Elena was excellent and very nice. She even had little gifts for our family when we picked the car up.
The pick-up and drop-off of the vehicle were not "smooth". Partly my fault for not originally checking and requesting that these occur at the airport. However, Elena was very flexible and willing to accommodate us by doing both pick-up and drop-off at the airport. She was a running a little late for both of the exchanges and the process of actually exchanging was a bit much because we had to drive to a different location together take pictures for Turo, and then drive to another location so that she could get in her other car.
As for the car itself, it was nice, but there was significant body damage all around the vehicle. The damage does not appear in the photos on the listing but once we got the car, we could see the off-color bondo sections on the vehicle which were quite large in some spots (almost 1/4 of one of the doors). There were also missing body parts on the outside of the vehicle.
Elena was also concerned with where or how we might be driving the vehicle and made specific requests that, when we were driving in certain areas to watch the brakes. She was very curious about where we might be going based on her concerns for the vehicle (which wasn't in the best shape already). If she is that concerned, in my opinion she should be renting her car out to other people.
Again, in all the experience with Turo and Elena was fine, and the trip was a success so we were happy with how things went.
