While I was glad to rent a BMW X5 for the trip, the condition of this specific vehicle was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. The overall state of the car was unacceptable.

Shakedown. Owner used opportunity to service the entire car at my expense. Really unfortunate because prior to the 4-inch paint scratch that was allegedly "done" under my watch, the car, communications, pick-up went well.
Once the claim was filed, it was over for me. Had a front row seat to watching the charges increase by day. Fully taken advantage of and did not hear from the owner again.
Luckily for the readers of this saga there are plenty of other BMWs in LA... so highly recommend looking elsewhere and straying far away from this owner/group, unless you are into getting fleeced.
