Complete bait and switch. I booked a 2025 Toyota 4Runner months in advance for our Oahu family trip. While we were flying from LA, LA Auto Spot messaged me that they were replacing it with a 2023 Nissan Murano. We didn’t see the message until we landed because we were on the plane.
I accepted the replacement at 9:06 PM, yet the car didn’t arrive until after 10:30 PM. Every call was “5 more minutes” while my family waited late at night.
What bothered me most was the complete lack of customer service and accountability. When I asked about a discount, they brushed it off as an “even swap.” It wasn’t. I reserved a newer 4Runner months in advance, got an older Murano instead, and then waited over an hour for it.
Then, after dismissing all of that as an “even swap,” they offered $29 the next day. That pretty much summed up their attitude toward the entire situation—our time and inconvenience simply didn’t matter to them.
