This was a terrible experience from start to finish. The car was not ready until 16 minutes after our scheduled pickup time. The vehicle was also given to us dirty, with sand and debris throughout the car, and the front windshield had grime all over it. While these things were frustrating, we tried to stay positive and continue our trip.

Unfortunately, midway through our day exploring the island, we saw two German roaches run across the floor of the car. Once we noticed that, we looked further and found two large roach traps hidden in the vehicle that were filled with both dead and live roaches, at least 10 in each trap. That made it very clear this was a ROACH INFESTATION and that the host was already aware of the infestation but continued renting the car out anyway with no warning and at full price.

Because of this, we had to completely cut our trip short, turn around, and return the vehicle, early as we did not want to keep using a roach infested vehicle which wasted a large portion of our day and ruining plans we had specifically made around having this rental car.

To make matters worse, the host was completely unresponsive and unhelpful throughout the situation. I was able to get them on the phone once to explain what happened, and they said they would call us back after confirming with the main host. They never called back and stopped answering our repeated phone calls afterward.

On the positive side, Turo support was extremely helpful and handled the situation far better than the host did.

Overall, this experience was completely unacceptable, unsanitary, and incredibly disappointing.

Amazing experience with Jun and the car was nice too

Happy that the jeep was picked and dropped off at our Airbnb. Communication was good on the app. However, when the vehicle was dropped off there was a notification that the tire pressure was low and a nail was in the tire. The tire thread was also not the best.

The vehicle was noticeably dirty at pickup and had an unpleasant odor. It also showed significant wear and tear, which was disappointing given the price point.

Communication was adequate, though it felt impersonal and possibly automated.

Overall, the experience was okay, but for the price, I expected a higher standard. I would likely explore other options next time.
