First time renting a car on vacation. PJ was very helpful. All extra things he did helped make this trip easier and more enjoyable. I would highly recommend him and use him for our next car rental in Hawaii.

The car and its performance was good, didnt give us any issue during the trip. The host is very responsive, before and during the trip. We were impressed about the car seats for the kids- it was very clean. The car was delivered late but we were okay with that because the host was updating us in real time.
The only hiccup we had was the host’s response when we inquired about a trip extension when our original flight plan got delayed. Turo had a fixed price on a trip extension (charging by the day and not by the hour), the host reached out to us via dm and gave us a bargain price. But when we replied with a price that felt more fair for us (in comparison to other services that we looked at), the host could have easily said a simple no but he chose to reply impolitely- as a customer, this didnt sit well with us. We didnt like how he handled that situation but we let it go. To be fair after a few days, we felt that he wanted to rectify the situation as he tried to give us the price we wanted, and ultimately even just waived it at the end of the trip. But We arent people who would take advantage of others or unfortunate situations, so we returned the car as per the set time and instead paid for another’s service who went above and beyond to help us.
One tip, is to keep the conversation within the turo app. And if you need an extension, better do it ahead of time instead of trying to negotiate at a later time.

I apologized and offered you 2 free hours at return for the inconvenience. Turo was going to charge you $249 for the 5 hours alone and I ultimately offered you to keep it until whenever for free and even drop it off to airport at no additional charge. I’m sorry if you thought my reply was impolite, text doesn’t communicate expressions. Aloha!
