Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. On the day we picked up the car, the front tire was faulty and it clearly hadn’t been checked beforehand. It kept losing air, and we ended up in a stressful situation in the middle of the night having to refill it multiple times. Eventually we had no choice but to take it to a garage ourselves to get it fixed. On top of that, the rear wiper wasn’t working.
Roadside assistance was no help at all and the only option they offered was replacing the tire with a donut spare, and only if the car happened to have one. When we contacted Turo for a replacement, we were told it would take 24 hours.
What should have been an enjoyable trip turned into constant worry about the car’s safety in an unfamiliar location. The whole experience was stressful and exhausting. The one positive was that the owner was responsive throughout.
I’m sorry you had a stressful experience. However, I want to clarify that the vehicle had no tire issues or warning lights at check-in, and tire pressure had recently been serviced. A few hours into the trip, the issue began, which suggested a road hazard occurred during the rental. I immediately responded, contacted Turo support, and repeatedly advised roadside assistance. A nail was later found in the tire, confirming it was not a pre-existing maintenance issue.
