I hope the way I returned the car, including the condition and mileage, serves as a good example to the host of how a car should be presented to a customer.
I was honestly appalled and disappointed by the condition the car was left in when I picked it up for the weekend. The car clearly had not been cleaned, and I was left with no choice but to clean it myself because I was extremely uncomfortable driving and spending the weekend in someone else’s mess.
The car itself did what I needed it to do for the weekend, but unfortunately, the overall service and experience with the host were not it. There was confusion regarding the pickup location, the car was dirty upon arrival, and to make matters worse, it was provided with little to no gas.
As a customer, I expect a rental to be clean, ready to drive, and properly prepared before pickup. I made sure to return the car in a much better condition than I received it, and I hope that standard is taken into consideration for future customers.
