The first car we rented, which is the Jeep compass had mechanical issues that were there before I picked it up. They took care of us and made sure that we got another vehicle and that vehicle did not give us any issues at all.

There was problems with the car from pick up with the cool/heat gauge. Then at night found out the headlights were all out
There was no overheating issue. The gauge was just acting up. The only actual issue was one high-beam headlight bulb being out.
As a courtesy, you were provided with a replacement vehicle that was an upgraded model, 9 years newer, and fully functional.
