Everything went smoothly, and was affordable for our vacation.

I originally planned to rent the Ford Edge for around 4 months. I ended the trip shortly after the first month of use.

Car was okay, but not as expected. Vehicle had unsightly cosmetic damage that was not shown in the original listing. I reached out to the host and called to discuss my concerns but did not have any response. I instead was told by the host’s brother that they would swap the vehicle out for another vehicle of the same make and model within the first 6-7 days of my trip. As there were other concerns such as them needing to put new tires on the vehicle and more. I was told they would reach out once the other vehicle was returned. The cosmetic damage was due to a “fender bender” a previous guest was in prior to my trip. I did not feel that paying several thousands of dollars for a vehicle that was not properly maintained or road ready was fair to me but obliged to keeping the car for a few days so I could get a swap. They never reached out about the swap.

In addition to this, I found out through other locals that my vehicle did not have winter tires on it which was a major concern as the weather here is going to snowing and icy for the entire duration of my trip.

Upon deciding to end my trip early I had several issues with Turo helping me to end the trip early as they stated the host retroactively changed the prices of the daily rate for this vehicle specifically which prompted me to pay additional money to turn it in early. I refused this and tried to work with Turo to force the trip to en early as they also tried to end it on their side but saw the host changed his settings to not allow an early return.

I am now working with Turo to rectify this issue as the host has not communicated once nor has he been helpful or accommodating at all during this ordeal.
