The reservation information was a key handoff at our address for 9:30am. Woke up to a message from host earlier in the morning saying he had parked the car with a lock box several blocks away. He did not provide the necessary information for how to turn the lockbox after entering the code to get it open. The car key did not work because of a dead battery. Because of this the car alarm would not stop going off when we unlocked the door with the manual key and the car would not start. Host was unresponsive to messages and calls during this entire process. We figured out how to emergency safety start the car based on researching the make/model/year. This allowed us to drive the car but anytime we locked the doors the car alarm would go off and not stop until we safety started the car again. So we could not lock the car at any point during our trip and every time we started the car had to take a while to do the safety start. Adrian messaged hours later that he could bring us another key fob that was not dead. We asked him to bring a key fob to the agreed upon pick up/drop off location same as the reservation. Then he never showed up or messaged so we had to keep dealing with this until returning the car.

Car was fine. Tires need to be replaced.

Adrian was great, super easy to work with. He had great communication and couldn't have made it easier for our first ever TURO!
