The vehicle was clean upon pickup, and communication with the owner was good throughout the rental. However, a few issues affected my overall experience.
The vehicle had significant exterior/body damage that wasn't clearly visible or represented in the photos on the Turo listing. Additionally, there was no charging adapter included with the vehicle. My hotel had a non-Tesla EV charger available, but without an adapter, I was unable to use it and had to specifically find a Tesla charging station. I charged the vehicle the night before returning it, but after driving to the airport, the battery level had dropped below the required return level by the time I parked.
The vehicle’s navigation system also appears to need an update, as some of the information and directions were not current.
Overall, the owner was responsive and communicated well, and the vehicle itself was clean. However, I think the listing should more accurately reflect the vehicle’s current exterior condition, and providing a charging adapter would make the rental experience much more convenient, especially for travelers staying at hotels with standard EV charging stations.
