I had a very unpleasant experience with this host. From the start, he was unfriendly and made me feel uncomfortable by closely watching me during pickup. Throughout the trip, he never responded to any of my messages, even when I tried to communicate before the trip he didn’t respond, I ran about 30 minutes late for drop-off (which I informed him about ahead of time), and let him know I was taking the car to be washed. He kept messaging me to rush, which didn’t allow enough time for me to vacuum the interior. Despite explaining this, he advised me I will be charged a cleaning fee afterward. Keep in mind Turo won’t accept it as it wasn’t dirty. He also incorrectly tried to blame me for an issue with the middle seat row, which was not damaged and functioned just fine when I returned the car. At drop-off, he also asked for my ID and examined it for an unusually long time, which felt unnecessary and invasive since the rental was ending. Overall, this host made what should have been a smooth experience stressful and uncomfortable. If I could rate him a 0 I would, he shouldn’t be a host with this treatment.
