I rented this vehicle specifically because it was listed as a Model Y Long Range. A Long Range Model Y carries a rated range in the 320–330 mile range (depending on year and wheels). The car I received displayed a rated range of only 275 miles.
I fully understand that rated range is not the same as real-world miles you will actually get. That is not the issue. The issue is that the listing and the car itself did not match the Long Range designation. 275 miles of rated range is not what a Long Range Model Y is supposed to show. This is a material misrepresentation of the vehicle’s capability.
If you need the range that a Long Range Model Y is supposed to deliver, do not book this car. There are other Model Ys on Turo that actually match their stated configuration. Choose one of those instead.
