The condition of the car could have been better. We rented the vehicle for a family road trip, so cleanliness and overall comfort were especially important to us. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the car at pickup was unacceptable. The vehicle also did not have a full tank of gas when we received it.
Additionally, the car had a strong cigarette smoke odor, along with heavy fragrances that appeared to be used to mask the smell. Unfortunately, both odors lingered throughout our entire trip and negatively affected our experience.
The hosts were very responsive and courteous, although there was understandably little they could do to resolve these issues once the trip had begun. On a positive note, the vehicle was very spacious and provided the room we needed for our family and luggage during our weekend getaway.
