I booked this vehicle to take my mom for a medical procedure in Columbia, SC. It smelled of smoke but was cheap and the host was seemingly kind so I ignored that. Less than 2 hours into the trip on the way there a deer jumped out and caused a collision rendering the car immobile. I called the host, texted the host, and sent pictures asking for next steps on how to proceed. He didn’t respond for over an hour yet he took the pictures I sent him and updated them for an incident report. While waiting on him I called Turo and the police both of which were more help that the owner of the vehicle I was driving. He didn’t even care enough to say hey, you barely had the car and are responsible for the damages, the least I can do is partially assist with the charge of the rental for the day. When Turo customer service asked him he refused. Then had the audacity to call me hours later for information he needed after I got everything rectified by no help from him. I took full responsibility for the accident despite it not being my fault any more than it was his, yet he couldn’t even pretend to care or meet me halfway with the 1 day rental costs. He had no human respect or care about what happened, and even if it were free I’d never go near a rental from him again.

It is essential that you schedule your trips accurately, and ensure that your times are correct. You should not blame the host or anyone else for your poor scheduling. Going forward make sure your booking is scheduled at the proper time. As you are responsible for your own arrangements, Thank you
