I came to pick up the jeep and when I arrived at the pick up location the hood was opened. I asked what was going on with the car and the mechanic said he was replacing the battery. I took the car and didn’t think much of it. I started driving on the highway and the battery light came on and the car stopped. I had to get over to the right side of the highway and the car shut off. I contacted the host and she mentioned it was a routine battery replacement and the car hasn’t stopped before. I waited for a few minutes and turned the car back on and the check engine light was on but the battery light turned off. I continued driving in hopes the car wouldn’t shut off again. It did not shut off and on the last day of the rental period the check engine light turned off. I used the car to go out of town and didn’t have an option to come back to the pick up spot because I was already 1.5 hours away. I will not rent with this host again because I was nervous driving the car for the remainder of the trip.

When the vehicle left and when it came back there was no check engine light on. Guest did not respond to message asking about how the vehicle was driving and if the vehicle was having any issues. She reported an issue 1 time and then never made any other contact until coming back. Stated the check engine light went back off. As a host we are unable to do anything without contact with the guest. We could have had Turo tow back the vehicle or get it looked at during the trip.
The car was clean and worked great. Rachael was a nice and communicative host, and she made the pickup and drop off very easy. I would absolutely rent from her again!
