I’d give it a 2.5 if I could. The car was okay. It had a tire with low inflation that I had to put air in to multiple occasions. The AC/heat kinda works part-time but you have to constantly mess with it.
All of that was consequential. What was really frustrating was being told it was an on-site pickup at CLT, then arriving in Charlotte (by car) on pickup day to learn it was actually at an off-site lot. When I arrived at the off-site lot to pick it up, I was told that I could not enter the premises in my own vehicle (which we were dropping off at CLT). What should have been a 5-minute pickup was a 30-minute pickup, and having to return the vehicle to the same off-site location. Never again. Renter beware!

Our listing notes that CLT airport pickups are handled via a quick shuttle to our lot due to airport regulations. For security, unauthorized vehicles cannot enter the lot, which is why your drop-off car had to wait outside and instructions are given to get to your rental.
Regarding the vehicle, our fleet is inspected between trips, but we will immediately pull this car to check the tire and climate control. We always aim for a smooth experience.

Car was covered in white animal hair and grease marks on console and steering wheel. I could not drive until I bought wipes and sanitized it the best I could without a vacuum and proper cleaning equipment. I was on a time sensitive schedule and could not cancel and rent something else. There is also a strange strong smell that may be an attempt to hide smoking in the vehicle. Drives well and is fuel efficient.
