Great host, very communicative and flexible. Car is in great condition for being 10 years old, normal wear and tear. We enjoyed our trip and it was fun riding in the model x!

So there was a couple things wrong with this trip.
Firstly immediately after the trip the host called me asking for a 5 star review. Do not pander guest asking for 5 star reviews we should be able to leave reviews based on our own experience.
They skipped on cleaning and left some trash in the doors, this Tesla isn’t equipped with premium connectivity and should be listed in the description. Many people rent teslas for this feature otherwise it’s just a regular car. Lastly this host is charging guest for pre existing damage on her vehicle. She’s invoicing all the guest claiming damage to the car but not actually paying to get the damages fixes when she collects money from the renters then attempts to charge the next guest for the same thing. Repeating a never ending cycle of scams. unacceptable behavior lack of integrity and dishonesty. I don’t recommend renting from them.

Unfortunately your review will not absolve you of the accountability for the damage you caused to the vehicle during your reservation. If your communication during and after your reservation was as thorough as your review any issues would have been resolved immediately but there were none. It's interesting that these issues only became apparent after you damaged the vehicle and your speculations are completely unfounded. Nevertheless we do hope you have better experiences moving forward.

I recently had the opportunity to rent this Tesla for a trip, and overall, I had a very positive experience. The vehicle was delivered clean, both inside and out, and I was able to enjoy the journey without major interruptions. I appreciated the smooth driving performance and the convenience of having access to an electric vehicle for the duration of my trip. I created great memories with this car and would definitely consider booking from this host again.

That said, there are a few important issues that both future renters and the host should be aware of, as they did affect the practicality and overall ease of use of the vehicle.

Door Functionality
• Currently, only the driver’s side door opens from the outside. All other doors can only be opened from the inside.
• Additionally, the driver’s door often emits a strange mechanical noise for several seconds before unlocking, which can be confusing or concerning to new users.

This might not be a major issue for everyone, but it’s important to know ahead of time—especially if you’re traveling with passengers or carrying luggage.

Key Access
• The key fob does not work, and the car can only be accessed and operated via the Tesla app.
• This setup works fine in areas with internet access, but if you’re in a parking garage or a zone with no signal, unlocking or starting the car may become an issue.

For a smooth experience, I strongly recommend the host either provides a functional key fob or clearly explains the app-only access in the listing to avoid confusion or inconvenience.

Dashboard Alerts & Sounds
• The vehicle displays frequent system alerts while driving. Each alert comes with a sound that cannot be silenced through the standard settings.
• While not dangerous, the auditory notifications can become distracting, especially during longer drives.

Sound System
• The speakers are notably damaged. Audio still plays, but the quality is poor due to what seems to be blown speaker units.
• This doesn’t prevent you from listening to music or podcasts, but it does affect the overall enjoyment of the drive.

The car was delivered in clean condition. There was a slight odor inside, but this was easily resolved by adding a couple of air fresheners. A small detail, but worth noting for future renters who may be sensitive to scents.

Minor Mechanical Issues
• The driver’s window makes a squeaking noise when rolled down, which may indicate wear or a need for basic maintenance.

As a guest, I take full responsibility for accidentally scratching one of the rims while parking and covered the appropriate portion of the cost. However, I believe it’s important to acknowledge that many of the issues described above were pre-existing and had a much greater impact on the usability and comfort of the car than the minor cosmetic rim damage.

I kindly suggest reviewing the condition of the vehicle and prioritizing the repair of the more functionally significant issues—especially door access, key functionality, and dashboard alerts. These are not just minor inconveniences; they can significantly affect a renter’s ability to operate the car safely and comfortably.

Despite the above concerns, I still recommend this vehicle to those who are flexible and aware of the current limitations. The host was courteous, the vehicle was generally reliable, and I truly enjoyed the experience. With a few updates, this could easily become a top-tier listing. I look forward to renting again from this host in the future, and I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for everyone.

Many of these concerns could have been quickly resolved if your communication was as thorough as your review. Teslas do have a steep learning curve for some, and I’m always available to help ensure a smooth rental experience for all guests.
