Whitney and Patrick are exceptional hosts on Turo, and their Subaru Outback was the perfect vehicle for exploring Alaska. From the moment we picked it up, it was spotless, well-maintained, and ready for adventure.
What truly set this experience apart was the thoughtfulness they put into every detail. They provided bear spray, a cooler, reusable shopping bags, hand sanitizer, cellphone holders, chargers, and more little extras than I can even list here. These are the kinds of touches that show they genuinely care about their guests having a wonderful trip, not just a transaction.
Communication with Whitney and Patrick was easy, responsive, and reassuring throughout our rental. That matters enormously when you are traveling far from home and depending on a vehicle to get you safely through remote and rugged terrain.
And what terrain we covered. We drove thirty miles into Denali National Park before the road closed to buses only, ventured onto the spectacular Denali Highway, made the long runs down to Homer and Seward, and took countless day excursions in between. The Subaru Outback handled every mile beautifully. One of our favorite details was how naturally it fit in with local vehicles. We never looked like tourists in a rental car, and that made the whole experience feel more authentic and connected to the places we were exploring.
If you are planning an Alaska road trip and considering Turo, stop looking and book this car. Whitney and Patrick have thought of everything. You will not be disappointed. You will be grateful.

Absolutely fantastic car for Alaska - drives super smoothly, all wheel drive, super comfortable for driving longer distances, has all the bells and whistles (love the seat warmers) but also user friendly. Excellent communication with host, easy pick up and drop off. Highly recommend - five stars!
