The Cadillac Escalade Dave rented me was generally reliable and in good working order. The host responded promptly, was easy to communicate with, and brought the car to the airport in-person to issue to us, even though we arrived late on a Sunday evening!
The host forbade me from driving the car to Haines, because it involved considerable driving in Canada. This resulted in significant additional costs for us, as we had to fly to Haines and rent a separate car there.
Another issue was that this car did not have snow tires, and the tread was quite worn. This made the 4WD vehicle perform poorly on the snowy, rutted mountain roads we needed to use for backcountry and resort skiing.
We also ended up getting a flat on the last day of use.
Fortunately, the spare was entirely functional, as was the tire change kit. Procedure for changing the tire was fairly standard and easily searchable on the internet.
No smoking allowed
Smoking in any Turo vehicle will result in a $150 fine
Keep the vehicle tidy
Unreasonably dirty vehicles may result in a $150 fine
Refuel the vehicle
Missing fuel may result in an additional fee
No off-roading
