The MDX was great for our Alaska trip. Easy pickup and drop off!

Car was great and easy to get to in the garage. Older car with 193k miles but drove great. My only issue was that I declined extra coverage weeks prior to the trip and the owner requested a copy of my insurance for proof it covers rental cars, 20 mins prior to us picking up the car- so as soon as I got off the plane. They stated that they couldn’t leave the car without verifying our insurance covered rentals or I would need to get coverage. That wasn’t fun to deal with while walking through the Anchorage airport worried that they would cancel the car and we would then have to figure out a rental car at the last minute. If that was a requirement to see a copy of my insurance, I wish it was requested earlier. I had to pay an extra $375 for the coverage through Turo. I’ve used Turo multiple times and have declined the extra coverage and haven’t been asked for a copy of my insurance so I wasn’t expecting it. The owner also stated that there were rocks and dirt on the tires and they might have to charge me. It is Alaska, our rental house was off a dirt road, lots of activities are off dirt roads, so rocks and dirt are pretty hard to avoid!

We enjoyed our travels in Alaska using the Accura MDX. Car was clean and delivered to us at the airport, host was very friendly. Great communication, easy to reach with questions. Would definitely recommend renting from this host.
