We are vacationing in Florida for Christmas. Christmas Eve we saw a roach crawl across the dashboard- we hoped it was a one off. Then Christmas morning found a roach in our newborns diaper bag. We started to lift the mats in the van and roaches were under the mats. The vehicle check engine light also went on. Turo did an investigation with our photo and videos as evidence, refunded our entire trip and requested a tow to return the vehicle to the host as a result of the check engine light. The host canceled the tow and picked the vehicle up then sent me an invoice for fuel. When I initially messaged the host regarding the roaches they began texting my private phone number, I had to tell them to only message me via the app. I needed to stay back at the house on Christmas Day to deal with the van issue, go through all of our bags, clean car seats, and communicate with turo. Awful experience.
All of this is a lie. You know you tried to use all of this as an excuse to get the trip for free and use a car without paying. All I wanted was to help you at every moment and respond to you in various ways so you wouldn't feel uncomfortable, but all I wish for you is that God bless you.
