Taiko was an incredible host! Definitely a great value in Hawaii. Perfect for what we needed. 6 adults comfortable. AC worked great and the heater worked great while it was raining. Honestly, gas to fill wasn’t very expensive either. I would rent again! Host made pick up and drop off super easy and was very communicative

Cars a bit older so had issues with the Bluetooth. Also was a physical key not remote. Rotors need to be changed with the vibration when braking. FYI: there’s not many restraint points for car seat in the vehicle. Otherwise host was nice.

After the trip, brakes and rotors repaired and/or replaced. And full inspection on breaking system completed by a professional mechanic shop.
Takio was very kind and his customer service was EXCELLENT! He was quick to respond when an issue came up with the van. He responded quickly and helped resolved the situation immediately. It was easy to connect and communicate with Takio and appreciate his excellent service to me and my family.

The host communicated well, and pickup was smooth. The car is on the older side, which I expected. The host runs this as a small business with over ten vehicles and explicitly mentions working hard to maintain a 5-star rating.
However, I was hit with a $37.75 gas reimbursement charge after the trip, which is entirely unjustified. I only drove the vehicle approximately 60 miles, which equates to roughly 3 gallons of gas. Even with Hawaii's higher fuel prices, that should top out around $15. Furthermore, I have a receipt proving I filled the tank for $12.63 immediately before returning it. Getting nickel-and-dimed like this completely ruined the experience. Future renters, double-check your fuel receipts. #Disappointed

Very misleading review. Cost he quoted included Turo inconvenience fee for host to refill, so cost to refill was less than quoted. He drove 80 miles (not 60) & was messaged 2x “gas pump may click off before completely full. Please make sure full” & he filled gas 18.1 miles away from the airport in a van with 18mpg, so minimum 1 gal used. Gas gauge was clearly not full & not fair to next customer to get less than full & expect to refill to full
