I recently used Turo for the first time and, overall, the rental experience was pretty good. The vehicle itself was great, and I enjoyed driving it. However, upon arrival, I was unexpectedly forced by the owner to take a photo of myself with my license next to my face again. Even though Turo has a verification process, this extra step felt a little invasive and was required before I could access the car. As a first-time user, that was a bit concerning for me especially since my identity and address were already verified in the app. That said, once we got past that hurdle, everything went smoothly, and the car was in excellent condition. I would consider using Turo again and renting with this host, but I hope the verification process is more consistent in the future.

As I explained, that while Turo verifies your driver license at booking, there is no way for me to verify who is picking up the car since I use remote pickup with a lockbox.
This protects us both as if a guest was a victim of ID theft, i wouldn’t release the car.

The host was absolutely wonderful—very attentive, helpful, and friendly throughout the entire experience. Communication was excellent, and extending my stay was quick and easy when needed.
The vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. Overall, it was a smooth and stress-free experience. I would definitely rent again and highly recommend this host to others.
