The vehicle is older so had some wear and tear but kept up very well and safe to drive. Our host was very responsive with any concerns we had and since this was my first time using Turo was very helpful in the picking up process of the car.

Sterling was prompt in answering questions and the interior was clean. At times car struggles to get moving from a stop light which may indicate it needs maintenance. Car also had some existing exterior damage.

This generation of ford focus have a PowerShift dual-clutch transmission, what you describe is a common characteristic for tis transmission.
The transmission gets flushed annually to prolong the life and get contaminates out the transmission fluid.
