Only rating this a 1 due to how things have been handled since returning the car. Once Kyle resolves my issues, I’ll fix my rating.
The night before ny rental, Kyle switched me from a 2020 to a 2018 Tesla, not a big deal. Morning of the rental comes, supposed to pick up at 10. Kyle calls to let me know they are running late and asks me to switch the pick up time to 10:30 which I did. I sat in the parking lot from about 10:15 AM until it finally showed up, 10:45. So I already moved my reservation to help out, and even then the car was late.
Still, not a big deal for me, whatever. All of a sudden the day I returned the vehicle, I get sent an updated receipt. It shows an additional $60 charge. For what? No idea. I saw a delivery charge that wasn’t there originally, could that be it? But I picked it up at a location that had no charge the ad stated. On top of it, they didn’t get my vehicle on time anyway.
I’ve sent 2 emails to Kyle inquiring. It shows he’s read the emails on Turo, but he has not replied to my emails. Today I got a message saying he rated me, I was trying to not rate until this overcharge is handled.
Kyle, i have no problem updating my review in the coming days. But I do expect a refund and apology for this as I’ve been very easy going
I’m sorry you feel this way. The vehicle swap was completed through Turo’s system, and hosts do not have access to billing or the ability to add/refund charges. All pricing adjustments are handled exclusively by Turo. I never initiated any additional fees. I’ve responded and recommended contacting Turo support so they can review and correct any billing discrepancy directly. I’m happy to assist with confirming swap details if needed.

The car is great, but it lacked a portable charger and adapters in case we needed to charge it elsewhere. Even so, we were very satisfied. I think I'll buy one, because I had no difficulty charging the car on long trips.
