I made an honest mistake and lightly scratched the car. I felt genuinely bad about it and was honest and respectful when informing the host. I sincerely apologized, made it clear I’d take full responsibility, and never tried to avoid the claim.
Unfortunately, the host responded with unnecessary hostility and was extremely difficult to work with throughout the process. That experience alone is why I’m leaving 1 star.
The car itself is fun to drive, but it’s rougher than expected. Apple CarPlay was unreliable, there’s something loose inside the dash that thumps loudly when music is playing, and there’s noticeable interior droning at highway speeds.
If you’re considering renting this car, just be aware that even if you’re honest, respectful, and willing to take full responsibility for an accidental mistake, your experience with this host may not be pleasant. If you value a respectful, professional host and a smooth rental experience, I’d recommend looking at other listings.
