My host responded to messages quickly and pickup at the airport parking lot was easy. The car was clean and comfortable. Drop off at the airport parking lot was easy. The whole process was easier and less expensive than if I’d used a standard car rental agency. This was my first time renting through Turo and I am a convert.

Great trip! Responsive and helpful host. Took the bus to the lot, owner unlocked the car, and we were free. Reverse for pickup - exactly what I was hoping for. Great car for getting around the city and good fun with the convertible top. Bring a Type A to USB -C for Android Auto .

Host was super helpful, car was great for the price & got us what we needed. Thank you!

This is a great little car it was a great price. Pick up and check out were very easy, Host was super responsive and very flexible. Thanks so much!

Great, easy, no hassle rental , would definitely rent this car again, thanks again

Radwan and his team are one of the best on Turo. Smooth pickup and drop off, stellar communication and a great line up of cars available. Never had an issue. 5 stars as always

The car was so clean and fun to drive. Pick up was so easy. Shannon was so responsive and easy to communicate with , would definitely rent again

The host was wonderful the car drove great. He even let me extend it another week I will definitely be renting his cars again

Great experience! The car was clean, reliable, and exactly as described. The pickup and return process was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly and professional. I would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend their service.

The car was as described. We didn’t encounter any issues for the duration of the rental. The trunk was big enough to handle three mid size suitcases and three carry ons. The back seats were a little tight but we only needed to go shorter distances throughout the day. All in all were satisfied with our first time turo rental. Thanks Miky
Professional, on time and top tier cars. My go to host anytime I need a car
If you're picking up your car rental, St. Louis Airport is a great spot to start your trip. Via the Turo app, organize a convenient pickup location nearby that works for you. This way, once you land, there'll be no waiting in long lines or dealing with busy airport traffic. Just open the Turo app, follow the simple instructions, grab the keys, and get ready to hit the road on your own schedule.
After you've locked in your booking, you'll find all the key details in your Turo app. This includes pickup instructions, parking info, and lockbox codes (if any). As your trip gets closer, you'll be able to activate location sharing, so your host knows exactly when you'll arrive (very helpful if your plans change or your flight runs late). No need for chasing messages or stressing about where to go. Just clear, easy updates so you can grab your keys and get moving without missing a beat.
Prefer to avoid the airport crowds entirely? Many hosts offer delivery to convenient spots across Saint Louis. You can arrange pickups from downtown hotels, popular areas like Clayton or The Loop, or locations near Natural Bridge Road, which runs right past the airport. Some hosts even deliver the rental straight to your accommodation or doorstep, so getting behind the wheel can be as easy as stepping outside and turning the key.

Contactless check-in and checkout
Many hosts offer contactless check-in and checkout, if their car has remote access technology, allowing you to find the car, unlock it, and be on your way without meeting them in person. Message your host for specific instructions.

Convenient airport car rental pickup and return
Rather than hustling at the busy terminal curbside, take your time picking up the rental car at approved parking lots or garages. Check in, load up your luggage, and get comfortable with the car without a big rush.

Relax with support & damage protection
24/7 support and roadside assistance mean help is just a call away, plus you can choose from a range of protection plans.

A rental car makes the top things to see and do in St. Louis more accessible. From riverfront icons to leafy neighborhoods and scenic drives that hug the Mississippi, you'll have the freedom to take in the best of the city (and beyond) on your own time. Sample smoky ribs in Soulard, catch live jazz at Jazz St. Louis, or take the long way home along the Great River Road.
Rent the perfect car
You haven't truly arrived in St. Louis until you've stood beneath the soaring, stainless-steel curve of The Gateway Arch. Take the tram ride to the top — the pods are snug, but you'll be rewarded with sweeping views that span Missouri and Illinois, which are well worth it. Back at ground level, the Gateway Arch's Museum offers an immersive dive into the city's story as the "Gateway to the West." Explore interactive exhibits on pioneers, riverboats, and expansion trails that shaped the nation.
Locals don't just visit Forest Park, they live in it. Bigger than Central Park, and packed with things to do, it's the beating green heart of St. Louis. Spend hours roaming leafy walking trails, biking through tree-lined paths, or discovering cultural treasures like the free-to-enter Saint Louis Art Museum and the world-class Saint Louis Zoo. Come summer, the lakes come alive with paddle boats and picnic-goers, while during fall, the changing leaves put on a fiery show. In winter, snow-dusted landscapes turn the park into a quiet wonderland.
This National Historic Landmark is more than just a pretty garden. It's one of the most respected botanical institutions in the world. Founded in 1859, the Missouri Botanical Garden is a living and breathing work of art. Explore the peaceful Japanese gardens, marvel at rare tropical species inside the Climatron dome, or visit the colorful, seasonal displays that change with the months. In spring, cherry blossoms steal the show, while in summer it's all about vibrant blooms and shaded pathways. Whether you're a plant enthusiast or just after a peaceful escape from the city buzz, this urban oasis delivers at every turn.
Saint Louis is an easygoing city when you're behind the wheel, with wide streets, plenty of parking, and a slower pace than other coastal cities. Still, a little local know-how makes everything from airport pickups to downtown detours that much smoother. Keep these top car rental tips in mind to make the most of your time while visiting.
Forget about lining up at other traditional airport car rental companies. When you book on Turo, collecting your car near St. Louis Lambert Airport is refreshingly simple. Once your trip has been confirmed, find all the details for a nearby pickup spot in the Turo app. Just check your app for easy instructions to locate your car and get on the road! None of those crowded airport counters or confusing paperwork required.
Returning your vehicle is just as smooth as a pickup. Before your trip ends, set up a nearby drop-off location with your host (often it'll be the same one you collected the car from), park your rental car there, and let your host know exactly where the car is. Any instructions can be left via messaging on the Turo app, so you can skip all the long, drawn-out rental company returns and simply lock up via dropbox or remote locking.
Not far at all. The St. Louis Lambert Airport sits about 14 miles northwest of the downtown area, and is usually about a 20-minute drive, depending on traffic. If you're hitting the road during weekday peak hours, however, make sure to add a little buffer time to your plans since rush hour can slow things down near the city center.
Once you have a lay of the land, you'll realize that the roads in St. Louis are pretty straightforward. Around town, speed limits typically sit at around 30–35 miles per hour (mph) on city streets, while highways can go up to about 55–65 mph. Missouri's hands-free law also means you need to keep your phone mounted if you plan on using the GPS — no exceptions here.
Winter, however, can change things up. When temperatures dip, icy patches aren't uncommon, especially on bridges, highway ramps, and shaded roads. If you're driving after a snowfall or during a cold snap, give yourself extra stopping time and take things slow and steady.
In the suburbs and greener pockets of the city, watch for local wildlife. Deer are frequent visitors near parks, wooded areas, and along quieter residential routes, especially at dawn and dusk. Stay alert, and keep it slow and steady when the weather or wildlife comes into play. You’ll find the roads here pretty easy to love.
When it comes to parking in St. Louis, check out garages in downtown spots and near the city's biggest attractions. You'll find plenty of options on 14th Street, Washington Avenue, and Olive Street, as well as close to popular spots like Forest Park, Busch Stadium, and the Gateway Arch.
Great news! St. Louis keeps things simple, and that means no tolls here or in the state of Missouri. So whether you're crossing the river, cruising along the Great River Road, or heading west to the suburbs, you won't run into booths or need passes, just hop in and go.
You'll find plenty of gas stations near major roads like Natural Bridge Road, Lindbergh Boulevard, and along key routes heading into the city like Chouteau Avenue. Driving electric? Chargers are available downtown at Union Station, along 11th Street, and Forest Park Avenue, which are great for quick top-ups before or after a road trip.
Absolutely! A rental car gives you the freedom to dive deeper into the city, from impromptu barbecue runs in The Hill to lazy afternoons in Forest Park, or scenic drives through nearby wine country. Without your own wheels, you'll be stuck watching the clock and missing out on the moments that make a trip memorable. Renting a car puts the whole city and beyond in your hands.
St. Louis offers a little bit of everything from historic downtown streets to wide-open highways heading toward the Ozarks. Luckily, so does Turo.
