A monthly car rental in Tennessee gives you the car you need without the strings of ownership. No loan, no lease, no down payment — just a reliable everyday car booked for the weeks or months that fit your life. It's car access instead of car ownership, and you'll see the full price before you book.
Tennessee's long term car rental drivers are rarely tourists. They're people who just moved to Nashville for a new job, drivers whose lease recently ended, folks between cars, and professionals here on an extended assignment. If you need dependable wheels but aren't ready to buy, an extended car rental keeps things flexible and affordable.
Booking an extended car rental in Tennessee takes a few minutes from your phone, and you can adjust your plans as life changes.

Open the Turo app or website and search for monthly rentals in Tennessee. Filter by vehicle type, price, features, and pickup location. Once you find the right car, book it instantly — no phone calls, no paperwork, no waiting.

Pick up your car in Tennessee and drive it for 30 days or longer. Many vehicles on Turo come with monthly discounts for bookings of 30+ days, so the longer you stay, the more value you get.

If your plans shift, extend your booking, swap to a different car, or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your trip starts. You stay in control.
Thank you for everything. The car was very comfortable and easy to drive, which made the trip much more enjoyable. I also appreciated how smooth and stress-free the whole rental process was. I would gladly rent from you again in the future.

This was the best experience I've had since I began using Turo several years ago for my travels. Aside from the very reasonably-priced rental rate for his car, my host, Sarkis, was SO nice, stayed in communication with me throughout the entire rental process, and went out of his way to be extremely accommodating. He actually delivered his car to the LAX airport for us and brought us back to the LAX airport for our departure! That's in Los Angeles, folks ... unpredictable drivers, crazy, busy freeways and bumper-to-bumper traffic. I mean ... who does that?? I'll tell you who does ... my super host, Sarkis, does! I highly recommend him if you find yourself needing a car in Los Angeles. He really is the best!
Great trip, great car! The fact that the car was dropped off and picked up at my house was the best thing ever. Will book again!!
Car was clean and tidy upon collection, armen was very responsive throughout the trip, car gave a check engine light and he was keen to have it resolved the same day, didn't affect my trip yet he will still eager to compensate at the end of the trip which was very much appreciated and shows good business, would happily rent from him again and recommend to friends and family.

The car was very clean, well-maintained, and drove perfectly throughout my trip. I highly recommend renting it if you’re planning a road trip or exploring California. It was reliable, comfortable, and made the journey even more enjoyable.

Who is monthly car rental in Tennessee for?
Just relocated to Tennessee
Tennessee ranked fourth in the country for net migration in 2025, so plenty of people are arriving without a car and without a plan to buy one yet. A monthly car rental gives you reliable transport from day one while you learn your new commute, test out neighborhoods, and decide whether you're staying for good — all without rushing into a purchase.
Lease just ended — or just sold your car
If your lease just wrapped or you sold your car, you're between vehicles and probably not eager to jump straight into another multi-year commitment. A long term car rental in Tennessee bridges the gap on your terms. Drive an everyday car for as long as you need, and extend month to month until you're ready to decide what's next.
Extended work assignment or traveling professional
Nashville's healthcare and business-services hiring draws traveling nurses, contractors, and project-based workers who need a car for weeks or months, not years. For stays this long, an extended car rental in Tennessee is far more practical than day-by-day rates. You get dependable transport for the length of the assignment, without buying a car you'll leave behind.
Post-college or first car
Buying your first car is a big financial commitment, and a thin credit history plus a tight budget makes it harder. If you just finished school in Memphis, Knoxville, or Nashville and aren't sure where life goes next, renting a car for a month in Tennessee lets you drive what you need now — without locking yourself into a loan before you're ready.
Flying into Nashville to start an extended stay? You can arrange a monthly car rental near the airport and pick it up close to BNA, so you're on the road soon after you land. It's a practical option for traveling professionals and new arrivals who want dependable transport waiting at the start of a long-term assignment or move.
Nashville is Tennessee's fastest-growing metro, drawing new residents and commuters across Davidson County every year. If you're relocating for work, starting a new job, or navigating daily drives through I-40 and I-65 traffic, a monthly rental gives you a reliable everyday car without the cost of buying one while you get settled.
Memphis anchors west Tennessee as a major logistics, healthcare, and distribution hub, which means steady demand from commuters and project-based workers. A long term car rental here is a practical base for getting to work and running daily errands across Shelby County — an affordable, low-commitment way to stay mobile while you figure out longer-term plans.

Think about how you'll actually drive day to day. For a Tennessee commute, a fuel-efficient compact or a reliable sedan keeps costs down, while a family-friendly SUV makes sense if you need space for passengers or cargo. Prioritize comfort and dependability for daily driving over flash — everyday cars are what monthly renting is all about.
Tennessee follows standard US road rules, and I-40 links the state east to west while I-24, I-65, and I-75 carry most metro traffic. Nashville's rush-hour congestion is the main thing daily drivers plan around. Give yourself extra time during peak commute windows and you'll settle into local driving quickly.
For a monthly rental, look into long-term parking options rather than short-stay meters. Downtown Nashville and Memphis both offer monthly parking garages, and many residential neighborhoods use permit zones. Compare the cost of a monthly garage spot against street parking near your home or office, since a reserved space often saves money and hassle over several weeks.
Good news for monthly renters: Tennessee has no toll roads on its public highways, so you won't rack up toll charges on your regular commute. You can drive the interstates and state routes across Tennessee without budgeting for tolls, which keeps your monthly costs simple and predictable.
Gas stations are plentiful across Tennessee, so filling up an everyday sedan or compact is easy wherever you're based. If you rent an electric car, charging is most concentrated around Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga, along with the major interstate corridors. Check the charging options near your home and commute before you book an EV.
Monthly rentals in Tennessee skew toward practical, everyday vehicles — reliable sedans, fuel-efficient compacts, and family-friendly SUVs. You'll find dependable makes like Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, and Kia that keep fuel and running costs low. Match the car to your daily needs, whether that's an easy commuter or something roomier for passengers and gear.
