Car lasted less than half the time of the original trip that I had booked it before it began needing a jump start.
Luckily I was home and in a SAFE place each time it happened and had my father around to do it for me.
When I contacted the host, instead of taking me seriously, I was hit with multiple reasons why I could be the reason for why the car needed a jump start, including but not limited to: leaving lights on during the day and not knowing how to turn the car off because a push to start can be tricky….
When I informed him that I have the exact same car except newer and I know exactly how to navigate the car and how a push to start works and that I would be returning the car due to not wanting to deal with having a faulty car his words were “well if thats what you want to do” ..
Anyways, I would be weary of renting out this specific car anytime soon from this review.
It’s a month out from needing inspection, the owner did not take my concerns seriously, something is going on with the car (I’m not a mechanic) but I know that consistently (twice in less than 24 hours) needing a jump start isn’t normal, there’s no where to put in the manual key in to start the car in manually and due to the “upgraded” media system installed if it is on apple car play it automatically answered calls without me pressing any buttons and the mic doesn’t pick up my voice very well making that feature useless.
The car failing to start was due to customer leaving something on and discharging the battery. A new battery has been installed and car is mechanically sound.
