My first time ever renting a car, had a great experience with this host! Start to finish it was easy and smooth just the way it should be. Communication was good, once we got to the vehicle it was immediately unlocked for us, keys inside ready to go. Once we hopped inside the car and it was very clean and fresh, no odors or dirt or grime. They also left two chargers for us, a type C and lightning cable which I thought was a really nice touch because I forgot mine lol. All around very satisfied with the experience. Highly recommend!

Credit where it's due: my original reservation was cancelled at the last minute, and Marlon was able to accommodate a short-notice booking. Pickup was easy and the car itself was clean.
The problem was the smell. There was a strong smoke odor in the cabin — strong enough that I couldn't drive it for its intended purpose (day trip out of town). I have asthma, and cigarette smoke is a trigger for me, so I had to make alternative arrangements. As seen by the odometer, the vehicle had about 25 miles added on it for short duration in town to park and repark and not its intended day-long out of town trip purpose.
I raised it with the owner within the first hour. I'm not writing this to argue about the source of the odor — just so the next renter knows the car has a noticeable smoke smell. Someone has previously smoked in this vehicle. If you're sensitive to it, plan accordingly.

I do want to clarify that the vehicle does not have a smoke odor. I maintain strict cleaning and odor‑management routines, and the car was inspected before and after your trip with no smoke smell present. Still, I understand that sensitivities vary, and I try my best to accommodate everyone even though I know I won’t be able to satisfy every renter.
