Unfortunately, the car had a battery issue during my trip. I didn’t feel comfortable continuing to drive it and had to use roadside assistance. The host was polite, but I had to coordinate most of the resolution and refund process with Turo myself.

This vehicle had serious mechanical and maintenance issues throughout the rental. The transmission was actively slipping and struggled to engage first gear, with RPMs reaching around 6000 just to reach 40 MPH—abnormal behavior confirmed by a Nissan technician. In its current condition, the vehicle should not be listed until the transmission is repaired.
Additionally, the car pulled strongly to the right, indicating a needed alignment, the windshield washer fluid was completely empty despite snowy conditions, and the brakes were very worn, requiring extra caution while driving.
Due to these combined safety and maintenance concerns, this was the worst Turo experience we’ve had. The vehicle was not in a condition that met reasonable expectations for safety or readiness.
