Car was great. Had issue with key pad but I figured out how to reset it and didn’t need to reach out. May give some drivers an issue tho. Thank you.

Unfortunately the trip started with a big disappointment as the host dropped off the vehicle in short term/hourly parking the previous day, so I was stuck with a $40 garage exit fee. I never got a choice, otherwise I would have requested the car be parked in the economy lot.
Aside from this, the car, while fun to drive, was frustrating on multiple levels. Even after creating a Lucid account, I couldn’t get the car to sync, so I was stuck using the key card, which barely worked. Sometimes I had to stand there for 20-30 seconds with the key against the side pillar between the windows to get it to lock or unlock.
Then the PIN code issue….what a nightmare. Who wants to put in a pin every single time you want to drive it? Even if you get out for two seconds and get back in….you then have to go through the system of changing the profile to the guest/Turo profile and then putting the pin in.
Once, we were stuck in a parking lot for 20 minutes because the pin screen wouldn’t come up. After contacting the host (he was helpful in solving but seemed to want to hurry to get off the phone and back to his day) , I was able to hard reset the car/system and finally get the pin/profile view to come back up.
Unfortunately it just wasn’t a great Turo experience all around. Maybe this was a one off for the host, I don’t know, but it was a bummer for me either way.
I’m sorry you had a disappointing experience. I can assure you that it is not what other guests have said.
Guests appreciate being able to walk right up to the vehicle in the parking garage and return there for no upgrade - instead of riding shuttles and wandering around the lot. The airport’s parking fee is disclosed in the listing.
I would have been glad to help you set up the phone key to not have to use the pin.
I was glad to provide immediate phone support when you had the tech issue.
