I am giving three stars because we discovered issues with the car. At first, the steering wheel would jerk to the left at lower speeds and shake at high speeds. I told the host and he said his mechanic told him it was fine to keep driving. Three days into our trip, the tire was losing air pressure rapidly. Turns out the car had a bad alignment, which caused one of the steel belts in the front driver tire to not only be exposed, but completely snapped. There was significant wear on the inner side of the tire. Seeing as we traveled on freeways and at high speeds frequently, this is especially dangerous.
The host was very responsive to my messages and asked me to take his car to the tire shop to get the tire replaced after I told him that we had to change the tire to the spare. He did pay for it, but this is not what I wanted to be doing on my vacation nor should be expected of renters.
Again, the host was kind but the vehicle does not seem to be getting regular maintenance as this would have been caught long before the steel belt snapped. This was very dangerous and an unacceptable condition for a car to be rented out in.

Communication with the host was outstanding from start to finish. He was responsive, easy to reach, and always quick to answer any questions we had throughout the trip. The car itself was incredibly reliable and fuel-efficient. We drove from Ontario to San Francisco on just half a tank of gas, which was impressive! Overall, it was a smooth and stress-free experience. I would definitely rent this vehicle again and highly recommend both the car and the host. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
