This was the worst experiences. I was messaged 1 min before my trip started by host to say that the car I was renting came back in poor condition so they were going to have to swap the car and have me pickup at a farther location. I had a Lyft on the way to pick me up so I had to cancel the Lyft am I told the host I was cancelling the trip did not want to switch and had to get my daughter in 30 mins and I did not have time. So I call Turo support and they said I’d get a refund 1-3 days so $313 was tied up and I was unable to rent another car. The whole weekend I got messages from the host about my trip as if I had the car. O Sunday day of return I had to call the host 10x and Turo 10-15X and be treated like a liar because they didn’t get confirmation that I never picked up the car. So the car is late in the system and I’m getting escalating emails and text from Turo that I need to return the car immediately and was going to be charged fees. I said I can’t check out a car I never took! Even got an email from Turo that I demanded that stated no active reservation and all fees and balances would be refunded. 5-10 business days. So after the last call to Turo, I figured out how to check out the car with fake pics and entered the location manually. Here’s the pic I sent the app and all the bots I talked to today! Don’t rent from these people. Your world will be in chaos. The host is equally responsible. Not one time did the host or Turo apologize for my experience not once!!! Not even in the emails and messages. Closing the account after I get my refund and posting to my 80k google reviews.
